The Snowman

5 years ago today...

we got engaged, by the flamingos at the botanical gardens in Hong Kong. I remember Jeremiah pulling out the ring and getting down on one knee as he was saying..."I think these birds really want me to do this."

It was a happy day!

Sometimes thinking of titles for these posts gets really old!

Who would have thought a flat, little, hallowed eyed Corduroy bear would become such a good friend. We made Corduroy the other day and they have been best buddies ever since.

Happy Birthday, Reiner!

Thanks to Ethan, Reiner's husband, I was able to fly to Minnesota and surprise Reiner for her 15 + 15 birthday. Reiner thought they were picking up Maziel and David at the airport and it was really me...

We both were really excited to see each other....lots of tears!

We did pick up Maziel and David later that day and spent the rest of the weekend celebrating Reiner. We had great food, encouraging fellowship and lots of FUN!

Reiner's birthday breakfast...hard boiled egg whites, plain yogurt and a mimosa...only Reiner.

Ethan and David cooked paninis and made cappuccinos for about 20 of Reiner's friends for her birthday lunch.

Thank you Ethan for letting me be a part of such a wonderful weekend. Happy Birthday, Reiner! I am so thankful for you!

Snow Days

We got quite a bit of snow last week. So, most of our week was spent inside.

We played lots of hide-n-seek.

We painted.

Emsleigh worked on becoming a well-rounded little girl by using her tools.

We had tea parties with baby.

And we did finally venture outside.

The first day was fun.

The other day, not so much.

I have posted pictures before about how Emsleigh loves a corner in our bedroom. She found a corner in Grancy's living room that she liked just as much.

Here is Emsleigh reading a book. Notice the pillow in her lap and how half way the video she looks up and gives the "Did you get all that?" look. Love it!
