Baby Be Blessed

My dear friends, Reiner and Leslie (Poe), gave Emsleigh these precious baby dolls for her first birthday. The doll on the left represents Emsleigh and the doll on the right represents Miriam.

The goal of the stay at home mommies that make these dolls is to use these dolls to help children learn and embrace the truth. That is why each doll is unique with a scripture patch (as seen below). You can learn more at the Baby be Blessed website.

Leslie and Reiner thought these dolls would help Emsleigh understand more about who her sister Miriam was. What a treasure these dolls are to us. And what a treasure those are who continue to remember and honor our precious daughter Miriam.

As you can see Emsleigh loves to play with the dolls. Recently every morning she runs out to the living room, picks them up and tears off their skirts before she begins to play. I guess she doesn't want them to feel inhibited?

We are also pleased to announce we will be able to add another doll to this little collection.
I am due at the end of May!

Too cool for school

Jordache

Those of us who grew up in the 80's will remember how cool the brand Jordache was back then. This little jean dress was mine and is a Jordache. Don't be jealous of my style.

Anyway, this girl melts my heart...

Our little copycat!

Playing at the Park

While we were in Texas we had some time to play with Hamilton's at this super fun park. Emsleigh loved playing with the boys and they helped her become a little more daring. I wish this park and the Hamilton's weren't so far away!

A trip to Texas

Emsleigh and I got to spend some time in Texas with my family. It was a much needed break for me and much needed time with my family. Those of you who live close to your families...please treasure every minute! Anyway, Emsleigh stayed with my mom while I got to attend a True Women conference with my dear friend Alora. The conference was great and so was Emsleigh's time with my mom.

My mom found an outfit my Mimi made for me. Mimi made the Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls along with the outfit to match.

Emsleigh and I spent our lunches with Grancy at her school. Emsleigh loved the children. She was quick to tell them what the "A" says and the sound a dog makes. After hearing all her tricks, one little boy said, "WOW, she is smarter than me!"

Emsleigh also had lots of fun playing with Uncle Lynden and Aunt Jennifer!

She loves her daddy...

Fun Friends

Josiah and his parents, our dear friends, were able to come over last Friday night. Emsleigh was so excited Josiah had come to play.

Emseigh had such a good time, this girl cried her little eyes out when the Yates left.

Fun Photos

Emsleigh loves to help me make the bed.

I usually throw on a head band to keep my curls out of my face while cleaning. Emsleigh always joins me in wearing a head band.

This is what happened when Mommy didn't pay attention.

The Pumpkin Patch

Last week we got to a super fun pumpkin patch. Ems had fun looking at the animals...but even more fun watching all the other children play.

We took a hayride out to the patch and picked one big and one small pumpkin. It was a wonderful afternoon!

Fun Weekend

On Saturday we went to a local dairy farm called Shatto Farms. We drink their milk which has no growth hormones and comes in a glass bottle...yummy! They have all different flavors as well. On the first part of the tour you get to sample all their specialty flavors including orange dream, root beer, banana, strawberry and chocolate. Here is Emsleigh getting her taste on.

We got to tour the place where they bottle the milk and see how they milk their cows. It was super fun and educating!

We also got to pet a baby calf and try to milk a cow.

Emsleigh loved every minute of it.

On Sunday was the 35th Annual Pattonsburg Car Show. The church had a booth where we handed out balloons, water, tracts and information. It was a beautiful day and our little town was packed full of people.
