Holy Week
Thanks to the creative mind, Veronica Stringer, I was able to make this Easter calendar. It is not an exact replica of hers, since my skills lack in sewing but I am thankful for her ideas.
Each day leading up to Easter, we take a piece off the calendar and read and discuss it what the piece symbolizes.
On Good Friday, this is what the calendar will look like. You can't really tell from the picture but that is supposed to be a stone for the tomb.
We won't take down or put anything up on Saturday. I chose to do that to help us relate with the disciples and how they felt, probably helpless or hopeless not being able to do anything. Then on Easter morning we will flip over the stone to "He is Risen." The Monday and Tuesday following Easter we will talk about the Great Commission using the world piece and the hope we have of heaven as symbolized by the Tree of Life.

Farm Girl
Our dear friends, Craig and Rhonda, took Emsleigh for the morning last week so that Jeremiah and I could get work done. I was able to get alot of school work done and Emsleigh had fun playing on the farm. She got to ride and drive the tractor and help plant corn and pet the cows. She had so much fun that she DID NOT want to come home. We are so thankful for the Lamberts!

More pictures from the weekend
Carrie, Leslie and Riggins visit
We were thankful to have Carrie, Leslie and Riggins visit for the weekend. Although it started out a little chaotic (all of us in a medical clinic waiting for Emsleigh to have an xray on her leg cause she was not able to walk, don't worry she is fine, no broken bones or fractures) it was a super fun weekend.
We took a little drive over to Jamesport to eat and experience the Amish culture.
Emsleigh loved 'baby' Riggins. Maybe except when she had to share!
Thank you for teaching me new things, like about pandora.com and the swagger wagon and Firework. Thank you for doing dishes and playing with Emsleigh. Thank you for the good conversation, laughs, and reminding me of sweet memories. Carrie, thank you for singing at church and Leslie thank you for making your little man ride in a car so long just to see us! We love you!
